The instruction was stellar from all the instructors!!! All the instructors brought their own flavor and made great strides to be thorough with each lesson. Blair was encouraging. Mike was humorous. Rick was enthusiastic. As a result, I headed to the DMV and aced the CDL test in one try! My only major criticism is truck maintenance and communication from the fairgrounds. If the instructors could be better supported with their resources and equipment, class would go by much smoother for future students. On several occasions, we were short on trucks due to maintenance issues. This resulted in limited practice time for multiple students. Also, given how few instructors and equipment were available, it put a damper on how the courses ran. They all still made do with what they had somehow, but it wasn't ideal especially when each student is limited to just 15 days. The communication from the fairgrounds was another major issue that resulted last minute changes in location. There was some scrambling in having to wrestle with the events coming in. If there could be a push for better communication, it would make lives easier for both instructors and students. Overall, despite the setbacks, the courses and practice were effective. They 100% work, and the instructors executed their roles amazingly! I had signed up for the manual transmission. I was amazed at the patience and encouragement coming my way. These people WANT you to succeed! Thank you all for your amazing work! This has been an indispensable experience! To any future students ts at 160 Driving Academy: You're in good hands!!!
