Ralph, Spoon, Pete and Mike are amazing! Just hands down amazing! Listen, pay attention and FOLLOW their instructions! They are instructors for a reason. They made school fun and easy and I would recommend them any day at anytime!
Honest instructors and real world teachings
My experience was very good honestly, I have no complaints about the 160 driving academy. The 4 instructors I had all had a different way in teaching you how to safely operate and how to best teach any new drivers on how to operate these vehicles. Phil in my experience is right to the point and he wants you to succeed and gives you every opportunity to succeed if you really want to. Mike is very lad back but he will teach you more about thre real world applications to driving a 18 wheeler and keep you in high spirits. Miss T has the best analogies in teaching any new drivers and is right to the point. As she told me multiple times don't make it complicated. She also taught me the there is always away to fix it and you should never drive away from the problem but go towards its. Matt is right to point and a bit more serious at times when it's needed and a very big history buff. My branch manager Chris was great to he very helpful though out the entire time I was signed up for the course. All and all it was great, but the one I can say to any new people wanting to sign up, you have to want it and you have to be open to change.
Would recommend as a CDL school
I had an amazing time at 160 driving academy really professional and patient with how they taught us and the knowledge they shared with us was very helping Austin was very helpful with the skills I learned and Marcel and lester were very helpful with the pre trip and driving Marcel was my driving instructor and he taught me everything I needed to know about the truck. He was patient with everyone and is very passionate about trucking and what he does Would recommend him to everyone Happy to have graduated and would recommend to anyone looking to get their CDL
Hands down the best
I highly recommend 160 driving academy if you’re looking to get your Class A CDL. The process works and it’s proven. The instructors are super cool and easy to talk with and learn from. I went from never driving a manual to now I have CDL with no restrictions!!! I went to the Louisville location and I highly recommend it
Awesome!!
Marcel Austin Lester!!!!! Best place ever!!
Awesome it’s good that
I have to say the instructors of all magnitude are amazing. If you’re in doubt that you’re not able to complete the course, I can guarantee you these people will get you through. That is the icing on the cake of the people that are associated to get you to have a CDL. The people which is the instructors are amazing. They will get you through and trained you very properly that’s a guarantee. I did have some problems, but the super sweet part of it is that my instructors help me through my problems. That is the key is very good business go for it.
I wouldn't choose any other school.
My time at 160 was great. Mike the Yard lead was awesome he talks at a speed of about 6000 words per minute but he was always willing to repeat and slow down and he helped me in every single way he could. He broke down maneuvers in very simple ways and made them way easier to understand. When it came to road driving and gear shifting I was terrible I had no experience and was afraid of the clutching but the instructors names T and Joe turned sh** into sugar and made a driver out of me. T was not only a great teacher but I consider her good friend and I will miss the people at 160 Driving Academy. I passed my test and have already received multiple calls for good jobs. Josh Joe Mike and T I am forever grateful and all of you were fantastic and I wouldn't recommend anyone else as driving Instructors.
160
160 was great for me! I had the best trainers started off with DJ(the older one) and ended with Keisha. DJ was very detailed, knowledgeable and trained us to know the handbook itself and key word we needed to know; as well as showing us some tricks to help us move safely into the box. He took the time to study with the group he had and we all learned from each other. We went through the industrial parts of Coppel to help with the turns and it did help!! Keisha was great as well. She had us one by one go over pre trip while she listen and corrected us and had us do it again to help us pass. She was also very detailed and answered any questions we had. Very friendly and knowledgeable of the things she would speak of. Made learning fun and made us feel comfortable while being safe in the driving! She was a fun great teacher to have and very encouraging!! George, the guy that was/is in charge was fun as well. He interacted with everyone that was there, it was like an open door policy. He was able to make you feel happy to be learning from his team, he would greet the new students coming in to let them know what the plan was. Jared was the guy that helped with the scheduling, he was awesome as well, scheduled my test promptly after finishing the school. Overall I had a GREAT experience there. The team was awesome and very friendly and knowledgeable in what they had going on.
