160 Driving Academy turned my dream career into a reality. These wonderful people listed below become more than instructors, they become family. If you’re looking for a quick career change, give 160 a chance to make your life better in every way possible! Not only do they have a pretty quick course, the training that’s provided is astounding and efficient. Listed below is everyone who worked with me first hand and helped me become a certified commercial driver, each person was special to me in their own way so I decided to create a review for each individual. Jaima— was my Branch Manager, and upon the first time meeting with Jaima to discuss what 160 could do for me and my payment options to get me into the program. They have many ways to afford this new lifestyle and she worked with me diligently on getting what I needed in order for me to start the program. Jaima kept in contact with me from the time I had my initial meeting, throughout my course, and on all my testing days.. She assured me through the entire program that if there was anything I needed to let her know! Mike— was 1 of 3 of my instructors once I made it to the yard. To me, Mike seemed more like a father figure.. He teaches many life lessons and gives helpful advice along with the program (my perception.) Mikes teaching skills are out of this world! He has things narrowed down to a T, and runs a very tight ship! For those like myself who carry God with them in everything they do, Mike is a great mentor for this program simply because of who he is.. His character is one thing that isn’t shy to show throughout his many lessons and he along with the other instructors at 160 have a way of including fun in teaching! WHO DOESN’T LIKE HAVING FUN WHILE LEARNING?! 1. Last thing I’d like to highlight about Mike in particular is that he’s a person who’d give you the clothes off his back.. If he can help you in anyway, he always obliges to do so! On my testing day, I had caught a flat tire in my person vehicle while it was pouring down raining.. I called Mike and the crew at the yard freaking out, and Mike came out personally to help change my flat tire, and even prayed with me upon asking once we were finished.. Mike is one person who I can say I’ll remember for the rest of my life, based off these 4 weeks that I spent with him.. Truly made an impact on me and my trucking career! Roger— was second hand to Mike and all the good things I had to say about Mike, I could say about Roger. Roger stood out to me because he had no shame in including fun in his lesson.. When it was time to be serious Roger had no problem letting you know, but also had moments where you’d find yourself laughing while learning something that would carry on with you for the rest of your trucking career. Roger always made sure that you were on your P’s and Q’s, and also made sure you could recite the entire curriculum back to him at the drop of the dime, whenever you were asked.. Respect, Love, and Peace.
Phenomenal program for learning to drive a truck!
When I first started, I had never driven any manual vehicles before. I was excited to learn, but with such a short time in training, I was concerned I wouldn't get the hang of it before it was over. Let me assure you, dear reader, my mind was quickly put at ease. Throughout the course, my instructors- Mike, Ray, and Roger- were all amazing and took the time to help me in various areas from the pre-trip, to gear shifting, and more. Each instructor brought their own unique experience to help me succeed. By the end of the course, I was driving a manual truck smooth as butter. Thank you to the instructors and to 160 for such an amazing learning experience!
Great Course both in class and on hands
Ms.Lori was simply amazing in the virtual class!! Once I got to the yard for the hands on I did not know what to expect, Tony, Alex, & Aaron are amazing instructors!! They help when needed and make it fun as well! I am enjoying every bit of my decision to obtain my CDL and choosing 160 as my school!

If you want to go to a school for CDL I Highly recommend the Trenton yard .Carlos runs it with an iron fist ,professional and VERY fair and he KNOWS his stuff,not only him but EVERY Instructor on the yard knows their stuff,I think it’s 5 of them all with 20 plus years experience in the trucking industry so combined it’s over 100 years of knowledge,I was in school 4 weeks took my test today one and done,they will show and tell you what exactly needs to be done to pass AWESOME group of people you won’t be disappointed…Shoutout to Carlos,Bryon,Glenn(my man)Josh,Tammy ,and Rambo I thank you guys for the opportunity it is well Appreciated

It’s was great experience.Jill and Anthony are clearly the best.Very knowledgeable,they have a lot of patience,experience and they are there because they want us all to suscced.It’s clear that they care about everyone there.I was lucky to have them teach me everything I needed to know to pass and get my cdl.

The thought of CDL School was daunting. So much knowledge to learn and retain. Dave Turner was absolutely fantastic and all the knowledge presented was easy to follow. Daily quizzes helped to test and retain knowledge necessary to obtain a CDL.
This was a great truck driving school.
Well, 160 driving academy gave me alot of behind the wheel training out on the road, and also learning to do manuevers, which was great.
Excellent knowledge
As a woman , I was nervous, but the team at 160 are very supportive and patient. The knowledge is priceless. Tom, who is very experienced, will guide you through any maneuver. He is no nonsense. His true goal is to hear that you passed. Tim is a positive instructor. Josh, very direct and present in listening who wants success for each student and takes the time to go over the lesson as many times needed insuring you complete each attempt. The best for last. Jeremy, willing to go that extra mile to make sure you understand your positioning preforming your skills as well as driving. Jeremy is top notch and is the most patient Instructor. His way of teaching puts you at ease. He listens and shares his experience. He allows you to see your own potential. They are a great group. I actually failed my first two tests. My first because of points off my skills. My second because of a dumb mistake of my own. I passed the pre trip inspection and in cab without any problems. The paperwork too memorize is on point. The skills I am confident now more than ever that I will pass. They are a very special group. I am appreciative and ready for the next chapter in my life. I owe it to Emilio, Tom, Tim, Josh and Jeremy. I leave there with new friendships and the ability to make the kind of money needed now more than ever to support my family. Thank you 160 Academy. Mrs Lori was a great instructor She went slow and detailed even gave 1-1 time for every student who needed help or further explanation even Ones who didn’t speak English Her tactics and recourses were VERY Helpful. Thank You
