Yard Review
My experience at 160 Driving Academy was great. The people there will make you feel comfortable and will make sure you have what you need to pass the test. They have more equipment now so opportunities to practice are way better than before. As long as you go in with a great attitude and want to learn, you will get your CDL.

Hello world, I'm a recent graduate of the Birmingham location.🥳 First, I would like to thank Ms.Diane,Mr.Isaiah, Mr.Greg, Ms.Whitney, and Fue. They did an amazing job with the students even tho they didn't have the appropriate equipment to train their students. It was an amazing experience and they did the best with what they had to work with. I really want to commend them for their commitment and dedication to the students. Last, but not least I really think the Corporate side of 160 driving academy needs to invest more in their instructors and definitely invest more in their equipment at the Birmingham location. Thank you 160 for the opportunity.

I had such a great experience while attending this school. I will admit that at first it was very intimidating. Ms. Jaima was the absolute best and very helpful with every single question I had!! If I ever had an Issue with anything she solved it !!! when I first got behind the wheel . But, there are really awesome instructors there to show you the way. Every time I got super stressed out Roger was always there to give me a hand. Another Instructer Ray: it’s like every time I would beat myself up about a maneuver Ray would tell me another way to look at it . The main Instructor Mike was also very helpful and attentive. In the end with every one’s I succeeded and got a “ONE IN DONE” thank you 160 for everything.

My time at 160 Driving Academy Toledo was a pleasant experience. The staff was very knowledgeable and approachable. The student body was awesome met alot of wonderful people. I had my up and down days but I finished the race. If I can do it so can you... I would highly recommend 160 Driving Academy Toledo to anyone looking to change careers and to become trucker.
Best CDL school out there
If you’re look to get your CDL I highly recommend going to 160 academy. Don’t even consider the other schools. Both Terry and James really care about their students and will do anything and everything in their power to help get you through the course and pass your CDL exam. These two gentlemen have forever changed my life for the better and I can’t think them enough!!!!!

I highly recommend 160 driving academy in Dallas, Texas! Having never driven a big rig , I was a bit nervous. The 40 hrs. of class time was a good experience and then going to the yard and getting into one for the first time was pretty cool! All the instructors at the yard are great! They are truly there for the students. Nate was my primary instructor, and his 5 steps to offset backing and parallel parking are fool proof. When you follow the steps, it works every time! He also teaches how to correct your mistakes ( which is important), because everyone makes mistakes. Whatever you do in step one, can be fixed in step two or three. When I was at the DPS and doing my parallel parking maneuver, I saw that my set up wasn’t great, at all. I didn’t panic , because I knew that I could fix it. I passed! Nate is an excellent teacher! Thank you , Nate! I want to thank George, who stayed after school one day and showed me some things and gave me some tips that helped me when behind the wheel. I want to thank Mitch and Shannon, for taking me on the road and helping me in the yard. I want to thank Keesha, she stayed after school every day for her own students that would be testing in the Day Cab. I was working in the sleeper cab, and she let me stay and practice for at least a half hour every day. One day, it was two hours! She was not getting paid for that extra time! She, and all the instructors proved that they were there for the students. Of course, I was nervous on the morning of my test. Every one of my instructors said, Mark, I believe in you! That helped! I also asked for help from above. I remember quoting a scripture I learned as a kid. “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” If you will attend 160 driving academy, and listen, study, practice and put the work in, you too, can be a “one and done” club member! Every instructor is so genuinely wanting you to succeed and they treat like family and not a student. They have a nice big spacious yard, multiple trucks, strong culture and a organized daily agenda to help everyone succeed. The only con I can say is they only allow you to test twice, which I feel they should switch back to allowing students to test three times.

Still wondering for the great work and good teaching and I thank teacher Lori for teaching very good because I passed the Test for the first try. Thank you so much.

160 academy is a great school. Julie is a great help and is there with you from beginning to end! I highly recommend this school for everyone.
