I graduated
My experience with 160 driving was very good. Austin and Irene were outstanding instructors their experience and their knowledge and their patience was much appreciated and I watch them get difficult people through school, including myself and I’m ever so grateful to have my CDL. Thank you all for your great help.
Family is the place to learn
I want to say Thank you to Tee, Tony, Mike, Scott and Robert. Every single one of you helped me successfully complete the program and taught me what I needed. Meeting the other peers and uniting as a family to get through this was a blessing itself. There were days that I doubted if I made the right decision. When those moments happened one of you would step in and reassure me that I did. Taking the time aside to guide me and answer my questions was what I needed. It felt like a family. It made it so much more easier to make me want to keep coming back. We had good days and we had bad days. I just want to make things clear to Mike and Robert, I really wasn’t being stubborn. I just have a unique way of learning and processing. I purposely was not listening to what y’all had to say. When I was in High School I was told this is why I would never be able to be a truck driver. Today at the age of 48 with my Family at 160 Academy in Commerce City we proved, that even someone like me can do it! It really does take hard work, commitment and resilience to make it happen. It also takes the wisdom, smiles and knowledge y’all provide. We all really do learn and process things differently. Thanks for not giving up on me and I’m grateful I didn’t give up! Faith, prayers and family have made me remain a believer! Tee and Tony thank you for being my right and left hands literally when I needed you! I have been wanting to attend 160 Academy for years and I am happy that after researching other schools, I made the right decision by choosing this one! P.S. Thanks for toughening up my skin!
Great experience.
The trainers were very patient and very helpful with learning the steps for skills and I recommend coming into the program dedicated and ready to listen and fix your mistakes as you go. The instructors will be there for you but you also have to be dedicated and willing to improve on your own, they can only let you know how to improve, you gotta do your part and try to fix your mistakes when they arrive, but I recommend 160 driving academy, got my CDL and very thankful for Phil and the instructors for sharing their knowledge with me and helping me pass.
Lori Mosley "the best Teacher ever"

160 driving academy Lubbock
I would be lying if I said it was easy givin that I’ve never driven a semi truck before I started this program but the classes that you take set you up perfectly for your test if you apply yourself .it was allot to take in at first but like I said if you just apply yourself and you really want it then you will get your cdl in due time. With that being said once you make it to the yard and start learning more about the functions of your vehicle then they have a great instructor Eddie to teach you everything you will need to know in order to pass your test at the dmv. In my opinion Eddie is the best person they could have chosen to teach their students the ends and outs of truck driving and he might be sturn at times but it’s because he takes pride in his work and he’s passionate about what he does .thank you Eddie for everything you have taught me and I intend to make you proud in the future.
Thorough and courteous
I wanted to take the time out to thank Nicole the branch manager at Drive 160 Craig, the instructor and Dave the other instructor were very thorough and telling us what we need to know answer any question through their experience of driving themselves. Nicole, I want to thank you for being patient and taking the time to email me and call me back when I need a question answered to proceed with the program you are amazing.
Fantastic place to learn!
Everyone is great at the Commerce city yard. T is a joy to be around and is an amazing instructor. Mike is the lead and is great at the technical aspects and coaching to prepare for the final exam. Tony, Dre, and Earl do a wonderful job of explaining and coaching that makes sense and is practical. Scott is a huge source of support and is always willing to listen and give instruction. With their guidance I was able to pass the final exam in the first shot obtaining a CDL A with no restrictions. Thank you to everyone over there. I couldn't be more grateful. 5 star experience!
