Hesitant at first but with the right guidance I'm finding my confidence
Micheal, Matt, Jeff and Frank, the instructors here in Portland not only know their stuff, they are friendly, helpful and follow through to insure you're performing in the direction of success. I'll admit, I was struggling at first but each instructor takes the time to observe your difficulties and help you correct them to the best of their abilities. I would highly recommend this school for your cdl journey.

160 driving academy was a great and excellent experience the instructors were very knowledgeable understanding and had great patience, they made learning fun. They gave me all the keys to success.... Collin,john and Denny at the McKee's rock location in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania are the best, they really helped me with everything I needed to know about truck driving, they were hands on with everything... I found 160 driving academy through a good buddy that had already went through this program, I needed to get my Class A in a manual with only being able to afford an older truck for my landscaping business. I had zero experience with driving a manual with never even moving a manual car ever. Instructors Collin and John were great, they both had completely different teaching methods and taught me everything I needed to know in the short period of time i had to learn. Collin and John taught everything about safety first then how to operate the manual , now I can take all the information and skills I learned and use it long term. Thank you, Vinnie

I passed one and done first time.
I highly recommend 160 driving academy. Tim at the Woodforest location was instrumental in getting me started in class ASAP. And I have to give a special thanks to Mrs. TC, at the training yard, along with Steve, and Mr. G. These guys are awesome training instructors, very patient and will give you exact instructions on what to do, and how to do it. If you listen to what Mrs. TC tells you she'll put you right down the middle every time on offsets, and 100% in the box on parallels. When it's test day, don't get nervous, just do everything exactly as you did on the yard, pre trip, backing skills, in cab, and (LAB) leaks, alarms, and button pop test and you too can be one and done. Listen to the instructors, learn from the mistakes that you make, learn your spacial awareness, understand how and when the trailer is going to react, because you are driving the trailer not the truck. Thank You everyone at 160 Driving Academy it's far and away the best place to train for your CDL.

What I really liked is that all the instructors work hard to get us to where we need to be. Pat and Mike were very patient and are good at explaining how to do things and how to fix my mistakes. They help us find a job once we graduate which I also appreciated. THANK YOU!
