School was Great! Everyone was very knowledgeable and took the the time to help no matter the situation. The team treated me like part of the family not just another number. I would recommend 160 Academy to anyone and everyone looking to obtain ther CDL. It's really hard to say who stood out everyone was great and awesome at their job. Their lessons were engaging,useful,and they were very patient with everyone in class always encouraging students to try. I would highly recommend Rick,Lawrence, Gerald,Kelly, Luis, Dalton,Angel,Mr. Tony and Joe together this team stuck by my side and prepared for succes never gave up on me and made it a priority to reassure me that as long as I put my part in they would put in theirs. My exam day was last week and I was a one and done, I now have my cdl,my certificate of completion and job security for my family and I. Thank you Team 160 Academy all of you for everything!
Good program
The 160 driving academy facility in Niles, IL. is THE place to enroll to obtain your cdl. In my opinion! From the branch manager Marta to the team of instructors they have over there. Them guys push you on the yard and the good thing about being pushed is you learn! It might not be pretty or at the pace preferred but them guys go above and beyond for all of the students and because of their passion for the industry it makes 160 the PREMIERE TRUCKING ACADEMY. 5 stars all day.
OTR 1+ year 160 graduate
I graduated from 160, April 2022 from the Munhall, Pa branch. And the McKees Rocks 160 yard. I have been OTR since. I can tell you that the yard instructors truly over prepared me. Elliott, John, my bad kid Colin lol. They truly trained and built me up into one of the best drivers and the best backers the trucking industry has ever seen! I hear it everyday from veterans 30+ yrs out here. I’m so small 5’3 and a female, they’re shocked. There is no parking spot I have not been able to get in to. I foresee problems before they become a problem. I drive safe for me and for everyone else. I am forever thankful!
Exceptional learning environment
Top notch place to learn everything you need to pass your CDL test. From skills, maneuvers, to over the road driving this is the place. The instructors are knowledgably and patent if your looking to get your CDL I highly recommend the 160 Academy.
What You Can Achieve In 4 Weeks!!!
When I initially made the phone call to 160 Driving Academy to inquire about the school I was immediately invited into the Munhall PA office, since that was good travel distance from my home. Within 2 weeks I was actually sitting in class. The first week went by like a blur. The remaining 3 weeks was spent at the McKeesport, PA training yard. The instructors are awesome and they give you a sense of security and confidence. I was actually driving a 18 wheel tractor trailer truck in less than two weeks at the training yard. I drove on the highway, two lane country roads, and residential neighborhoods where steering a big rig can be challenging. I graduated from the academy just two days ago. What a great feeling of accomplishment. Sky is the limit now for me and I owe it all to this great 160 team, from my initial classroom time with Mrs. Becky, to my 3 weeks with John, Colin and Denny at the yard. I thank all of you for the start of my new career.

Heyyyy Truck Driver
Baby I don’t even know where to start. These past 8 weeks I literally gave it my sweat and my tears. I started off on manual but I was struggling. Until the day I met John. He was so caring and understanding and he helped me make my decision to switch to automatic. Once I made that switch I felt a wave of relief Jessica is definitely a great instructor and she appreciates those who are able to take constructive criticism. When it comes to Incab I’m team Yessica all the way she also is an amazing instructor. Now let’s talk about those skills instructors Ralph Ralph Ralph this young lady will forever be indebted to you, because your patient and calm manor reassured me with perfecting those skills. Ali you definitely helped point out the extras I needed when it came to glassing that parallel. Let me not forget Henry who made sure I was on point with pretrip. Also my day ones on manual Adrian Frank Reggie Bill and Don!!!! Don’t stop being great instructors. I’m super appreciative of all the ladies in the office…Ms Janice thank you for the advice and the support. Last but not least let me thank my final step instructors Calvin Justin and DJ Khaled(Auggie) Thank you for supporting me and encouraging me even up to my last panic attack when I got called to test first(lmao) I appreciated my time at 160 and I used it wisely to get into the 1 and Done Club!!!! Shout out to even letting me be a jr instructor and those Indianapolis trips made me even better. I thank each of you who had a positive influence on this journey for me. Oh yeah shout out to the person who suggested I leave when I was struggling in the beginning, but I came out on top sir and lost 30lbs in the process. CatchMyVibeTruckin I’m out….
