James in Topeka is Great!
160 Driving Academy provided an exceptional experience for me. James Watson taught me invaluable skills for driving a tractor trailer, focusing not only on passing the driving test but also on handling real-life situations. I couldn't have asked for a better program—this is definitely the place to get your CDL!
160 Driving class
Had a great time learning and being apart of 160. Everyone was very helpful and took time to make sure I would get my license. Very convention location for me and had new classes weekly which made it possible for me to take the class and work around my job.
Great Experience
I was sent to 160 Driving Academy by my employer in order to get my CDL and consider myself very lucky to have gone through their program. I did my classroom portion at Morain Valley Community College in Palos Hills and my driving portion at the yard in Harvey. From the start, Julie was both very professional and very encouraging. It is rare to find someone who seems as genuinely passionate helping others as she is. Julie made sure that I had all the information I needed every step of the way, and was available if I ever had any questions or issues. I ended up finishing the whole process in just over 5 weeks and passed the state exam on my first try (and hence got to join the school's 'one-and-done' club). I've gotten thrown right into driving the class A vehicles back at work and I feel very comfortable doing so after going through 160. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to give themselves a huge leg up and be always in demand in the job market by getting their CDL.
What an awesome experience
My instructor James, is one of the most knowledgeable, wise and yet stern people i’ve met! He Changed my thinking from, i hope i can make it, to IVE GOT THIS! He works with his students one on one, to help you really understand everything there is to know about all things trucking. He’s truly an amazing teacher and i think everyone should be taught by him! I Passed and it’s all from the determination and motivation he got me to!
CDL school experience
Learning how to operate a tractor trailer under JMACs guidance has been terrific. The ability to let the students get to feel how the tractor moves and stops is crucial for future instances that might need it to save lives and be safe.
Exceptional
My name is Delfino. Jennifer Guerrero explained all the options a to me while I was looking to get my CDL unfortunately I can’t start until November because of work situation but I’m glad she was able to explain how the classes work. She was awesome and I am grateful for the smooth experience that was provided.

Great course
The instructors and staff are amazing, knowledgeable, and professional. They really took the time to provide me with the knowledge and information to obtain my state Class A CDL. Bar none the best instructors.

Ivan was great very helpful. Class was easy for me with a learning disability
They never gave up on me.
I am without a doubt, their ultimate victory story. When I came in, I had almost nothing. I was on unemployment, I was having my utilities shut off every month, I was out of hope, out of luck, and out of hope.... But I wanted this. I wanted it so bad that I was laying up at night unable to sleep hoping for a miracle. Then the American Job Center got me a grant and sent me to the Mineral Wells, WV location. I was a good student. I studied hard, and I did well enough but... I found out that I have the worst test anxiety that any of the instructors had ever seen. They saw me crushing through the practice exercises with almost little effort, but... when it came time to take that test, all of it, and I mean *all* of it was forgotten. I would get in my head. I would panic. And I failed that CDL test. A *lot.* The standard for the company was three chances before they stop paying for it and you have to pay for it yourself. It took me *six* tries to finally get it right. I finally did it today and I found out that the reason why this sixth chance happened was because the lead instructor Chad Davis, just like me, doesn't have an ounce of quit in his body. He fought for me to have every chance I took and he wouldn't let the higher ups cut me loose even if they wanted to, because he knew that the reason I was failing was because I didn't just want this; I desperately needed it and the anxiety was tearing me apart mentally. And today I passed. And despite him not being there when I did, he was having the other instructors on duty giving him the play by play of how I was doing like a big brother. He called me afterwards, and said that he never fought so hard for a student before, and he was proud that I proved him right in that conviction. So if you want a school that will treat you like a family, and step up to bat for you in ways that will astound you and blow your mind? Come to 160 Trucking Academy. They don't just make drivers. They save lives and make you family.
