Best CDL school
It’s funny because I’ve always wanted to get my cdl since I was 20 years old but I never found an affordable school that was close by to my home. And then I found 160 Driving academy!! I love this school and for the time I was there it felt like my second home.. All the instructors keep us sharp every day with what we need to know to help us pass our tests. I met great people while I was there now I call my friends. There was great instructors, Tony, Don, Arron, and Jen. All of them have great teaching skills and great knowledge for commercial driving, but I have to give major thanks to instructor Jen because she was there when I needed a question answered and she really gave me confidence when I wasn’t sure if I was going to succeed at all. Overall she’s very hands on with training and I highly recommend this school for everyone!!

Old dogs can learn new tricks
The thing that makes a great school are the instructors,. The atmosphere they create is phenomenal. What I got out of this school was the skills I needed to get my cdl and some great friendships that fortified my success.
Best driving academy in the United states
My experience at 160 Driving Academy in Montgomery/Oswego Illinois was amazing. All of the instructors that where at my yard where amazing and love doing what they do. In the 4 weeks I had classes there they really helped me learn how to drive and learn everything about the truck. If you followed there orders and listen to them you will get your CDL with no trouble at all. This was an experience I will never forget. Thank you Mike, Nate, Matt, Joe, Jermey, Tracey, John, and Chris for all that you guys did. You guys are truly amazing for what you help people accomplish. IF YOU WANT YOUR CDL GO TO THIS YARD AND YOU WILL GET IT EASILY IF YOU LISTEN AND FOLLOW THERE DIRECTIONS!! Again thank you guys so so much, I just got my CDL today!!!

Ready for the Road
Overall, I’d say that I had a very pleasant experience. Every staff member that I encountered was extremely helpful and supportive when it came to my learning process. In the areas where I had struggles, the staff structured my next day for what my individual needs were. Because of their efforts I am now a CDL holder thanks. Sara was extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Seriously, any and all things that I needed office related. I’d also like to mention Anthony, because of his training I am very confident in my skills behind the wheel of a manual. He shows great patience in the way he teaches. His sense of humor makes the pressure and stress of learning this large vehicle less daunting. He has a safety first mind set and I believe his favorite sentence is “ Don’t cross that Line!” For anyone interested in obtaining their CDL in the area 160 Driving Academy should be your first choice!
Best instructors to have!!
160 driving academy was a great experience! All 3 instructors were very helpful and knowledgeable in ways to successfully instruct me through a one and done! Chad the lead instructor was very helpful with ways of how to correct myself while on the road! Tyler and Gabe was very helpful with explaining was to correct myself in the skills portion. Gabe had a very unique way to teach pre-trip. All three were a great group of guys to learn from! Thanks guys! Highly recommend the 160 driving academy in Mineral Wells WV!!
Education at It’s finest
I enjoyed my experience here at 160. This was exactly what I was looking for and it did not disappoint. I did the school full-time and I am very happy that I did. It gave me the focus to be able to complete this course and learn what needed to be learned. From the classroom to the yard I had nothing but excellent teachers and instructors. Russell pushed me to think and not just become good at taking the drivers test, but to be a great driver when I’m out in the real world. Without his attention to detail and passion to teach great drivers, I don’t think I would have passed. Angel and Troy worked a lot with me on the road. They taught me very valuable lessons and what to look out for when I get out of the Academy without them teaching me I would have been way more nervous on road. David and Gerald worked a lot with me on maneuvers and without them, I hundred percent would not have passed my test. Whenever I started to get down or upset because I couldn’t understand how to do it , They’d have a calm demeanor, and work with me so I could understand what needs to be done and how to fix myself when I get stuck in bad situations. I appreciate all my instructors and what they did for me. Onto the next chapter. Thank you 160!
160 Rocks!
I thought 160 was a great experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Everyone was nice and friendly and taught the process very well. Doug, Shawn, Gene , Randy and Tiffany from Peoria did an awesome job.
Best experience
It was very cool on joining the trucking club . When I searched for 160 I seen all the good reviews on their website. I joined on February 26th & got my license on April 23rd 2024. Honestly if you do everything they tell you to do, you will get it right away ONE & DONE! The faster you learn it, the quicker you’ll be out & graduate.
