Welcome to a new World
From the first contact with Sara at the classroom / office to my final contact with Ms. T out in her yard, I met people who were interested in my success. They loved what they are doing, and arevery patient with the clueless (me). Sara, Ms T, Anthony, Lamont, and James, you got my foot in the door. Within 3 weeks after I held my Class-A CDL in my hand, I am driving over the road for Witte Brothers Exchange. Notably am I driving for them, but my 4 week "training" with Witte has been in a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, with 26,000 miles on it, when I first sat behind the wheel. My company trainer has taught me about living in the truck for a week or so at a time, and the "advanced basics". Thank you all for your patience with me, and the blessing you gave me to start out on this career. Many Thanks, Tom East
Thank You 160
Great school, Amazing Teachers. They set me up for success, as long as you pay attention and use the steps & Tools they provide you, you can Make it through. They believed in me and answered every question I had with a thorough explanation & details. I’m very much appreciative of my instructors and I’m confident for any career path I choose to follow.

They pushed me to be the best me I could ever imagine to be it’s funny because I came from another Trucking School, MATC trucking school in Oak-creek Wisconsin, it took one month to do what that other school couldn’t do in two months and it was a nightmare at that other School, then I came to 160 driving Academy with low self-esteem and self-worth the guys at the school didn’t care about my little pity party they Manned me up and today I’m a full fledged mutha trucker thanks to Rick and the fellows in the yard I had the time of my life and learned the skills I needed to succeed IN ONE MONTH thank you 160 I am forever grateful and will recommend you to anyone who is interested in operating commercial vehicles safely and efficiently God bless you all!!!!!!
One-and-Done Squad!!!
The instruction was stellar from all the instructors!!! All the instructors brought their own flavor and made great strides to be thorough with each lesson. Blair was encouraging. Mike was humorous. Rick was enthusiastic. As a result, I headed to the DMV and aced the CDL test in one try! My only major criticism is truck maintenance and communication from the fairgrounds. If the instructors could be better supported with their resources and equipment, class would go by much smoother for future students. On several occasions, we were short on trucks due to maintenance issues. This resulted in limited practice time for multiple students. Also, given how few instructors and equipment were available, it put a damper on how the courses ran. They all still made do with what they had somehow, but it wasn't ideal especially when each student is limited to just 15 days. The communication from the fairgrounds was another major issue that resulted last minute changes in location. There was some scrambling in having to wrestle with the events coming in. If there could be a push for better communication, it would make lives easier for both instructors and students. Overall, despite the setbacks, the courses and practice were effective. They 100% work, and the instructors executed their roles amazingly! I had signed up for the manual transmission. I was amazed at the patience and encouragement coming my way. These people WANT you to succeed! Thank you all for your amazing work! This has been an indispensable experience! To any future students ts at 160 Driving Academy: You're in good hands!!! YOU GOT THIS!!!
Forever grateful!!
The whole process from beginning to end was what I would call "a breath of fresh air." Lori at the branch office made initial process inviting and comfortable. So much so that I didn't even want to talk to any other schools. I appreciate her for getting me started on my journey. Then, meeting Rob Meyers was where I knew this was going to be exactly what I needed. He assured me that I was going to get the best instructions and education possible, and that he and his instructors were going help me build my confidence to the point where I know for a fact I will be a successful driver. "Mama" Lisa and Ms. K. were exactly what I needed. They exhibited qualities as instructors that not only challenged your abilities to drive, but also challenged your personal self to have the courage to fail so you can succeed. I applaud and am gratefully appreciative of the time, patience, and quality of work that everyone gave to ensure I get to where I am now.....CDL certified!!

10 out of 10, the best program around!
I knew it was a good program from the moment I started interacting with Kristina when she was getting me registered. She was respectful and joyful, fun to talk with and I could tell she wanted me to excel in the program. she took care of everything for me and helped me through the process. Then for my week of online training, Craig was amazing, to say the least! He was extremely knowledgeable as well as personable. He made the class fun and taught me exactly what I needed to, and was able to form an amazing rapport through the camera. Then once I got to the yard I got to meet Jeff and Moose, let me tell you, you won't meet another pair of guys as amazing as these two! They are very professional and help you get the skills you need and when things seem like you aren't going to pass or you're not cut out for this. You turn around and here comes one if not both of them to help break it down and help you understand. On top of their amazing teaching skills, they are just all-around fun people to be around! If your kind of teacher is someone who is knowledgeable yet so fun and personable to be around, then these two are your guys. They can form a good rapport with every single student that comes through, including myself. Every single person involved in this program that I interacted with has left their mark on my life. I find myself thinking that it's a little bittersweet now that I have graduated just because I won't have the privilege of being a part of such an amazing program. All of it will be an experience that I will not soon be forgetting. If you are looking for a program to get your CDL I HIGHLY recommend 160 Driving Academy, trust me you won't regret it! And a final thank you to every single staff member of 160 Driving Academy!

Katherine was very helpful and professional at the Toledo location. The class material was taught at a great pace and it helped set me up to pass my permit the first go around. Thanks Katherine and Liz
