My Experience
I really enjoyed my time at 160 Driving Academy. The instructor James makes learning how to drive super fun and easy while still equipping you with all of the skills you need. 160 definitely caters to each individual because of the small class sizes which I really enjoyed. I was the only student for over a week which meant I got a lot more practice and experience than most CDL students at other schools. I would definitely recommend 160 Driving Academy to anyone who is interested in getting a CDL. James and the company were great and I have no complaints!

Online classes are easy to keep up with and go over a lot of great information. The hands on yard training was great. Getting to go out each day and actually work with instructors who want to teach you and want to see you become a great CDL driver was an awesome opportunity.

Great Branch Manager and Great Instructors.
I went to the Palos Hills location to get some information on obtaining a CDL. Thats, were I met Julie the branch manager from the Palos Hills location. She was great from the beginning. Julie showed me all my options on how I can join the 160-academy program. They had great payment options and they also assist you if you need to go thru the WIOA program. Julie laid out how the whole program works and maintain great communication throughout the whole process. Once I arrived at the yard for my training I had a great experience with my instructors. The main instructor Will S. help out a lot to help keep everything on track. I want to thank the instructors Brian, Henry, Bonnie, Gerald, Moses, Shahara, Lawerence, Don, and Reggie with helping to put everything together from pre-trip, skills and driving on the road. I had a great experience and had fun doing it. I highly recommend 160 Driving Academy for anyone who is looking to obtain their CDL. Thank you!!

Welcome to a new World
From the first contact with Sara at the classroom / office to my final contact with Ms. T out in her yard, I met people who were interested in my success. They loved what they are doing, and arevery patient with the clueless (me). Sara, Ms T, Anthony, Lamont, and James, you got my foot in the door. Within 3 weeks after I held my Class-A CDL in my hand, I am driving over the road for Witte Brothers Exchange. Notably am I driving for them, but my 4 week "training" with Witte has been in a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia, with 26,000 miles on it, when I first sat behind the wheel. My company trainer has taught me about living in the truck for a week or so at a time, and the "advanced basics".
