I came to 160 Driving academy because of all the other driving schools I talked with this was the only Driving school to call me back immediately, Martec was unbelievable and so helpful with getting my physical and everything to do with starting the classes. Once I finish the first week I met The lead instructor CHAD and he got me going .with the help of instructors TYLER and GABE ,I went from a person. Who doubted I could do this to having all the confidence in the world and I passed my test 1st time . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DRIVING ACADEMY ,U WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. My journey through 160 Driving Academy in Detroit was most unique. I must say right away, that every one of the Instructors in the Yard was always very supportive. To prove this, one can only quote a friend and an Instructor, as one danced around Off Set Backing for more than 25 minutes, "Every Instructor here, has taught you!" A lot other other Driving Schools would have lost patience and kicked me out, after so long! Yet 160 coped and and drudged on with me, Thanks to Kristi Bryant. They went to every length to ensure my success, for which one is eternally grateful. Having started this journey more than 10 years ago going through more than 4 other schools, 160 Driving Academy achieved an unusual feat, to make it possible for me to be a CDL A holder, the reason it took long to do this review and staying in the yard longer! Mr. Henry Brown, Leader, never tired giving me Pre Trip handouts. He left his tight schedule to teach me Straight Backing once! Nakita was always there to provide answers to my many questions. Will, the ever cheerful and some times dancing Instructor, was a source of inspiration. Koran, the eye witness to the "miracle" of Wednesday, October 11, 2023, whose "favorite student" one is honored to be, was always cheering one on. Justin, was ready and helped in every way possible. Tracy and Rou never ran out of patience, in spite of my long minutes behind the wheel, most times encroaching on their lunch brake! Tyre was such a great Instructor who made it possible for one to grasp the Off Set skills in a heart beat! James, a gentlemanly, painstaking and optimist instructor, ensured my Skills and Road Tests were easy exercises for me. What a long review? But my stay at 160 Driving Academy, Detroit, dwarfs this lengthy review and one will not hesitate to recommend 160 Driving Academy to whoever dreams of becoming a CDL A holder! Thank you all at 160 Driving Academy, both in the open yard and the cozy office!
Learning Experience
I used 160 Driving Academy to remove restrictions on my license. Chad, Tyler, Gabe, and Martec were extremely helpful during the whole process and always took the time to help each of us as a group and individually. They were constantly helping me stay calm and motivated to progress throughout the course, reassuring me that it would come and to not get discouraged. Thank You all for all your help and hard work towards helping me succeed.

All the instructor have lots if patience all you have to do it be on time come everyday Ready to learn do what they tell you to do trust the process you will be just fine. Passionate and Motivational Turtor
I am grateful to have taken my CDL class with 160 driving academy facilitated by an excellent instructor who exceeded all my expectations. Mrs. Lori Mosley was my instructor; her professionalism is second to none. Her years of experience was interesting to me and she was able to translate the experiences into simple concepts. This is a unique skill in my opinion. Even the complex aspects was relatable and easy to understand. However, what stood out the most to me was her passion for teaching and her efforts in the class sessions to make her contributions that will impact the trucking industry in a positive way and to promoting family values care for people. This to me made the entire learning process not only informative but also fun. At the end I felt like I was part of a family. Her patience and care for all the students was outstanding and she answer every question with professionalism, enthusiasm and clarity. Overall, my CDL course with Ms. Lori was just amazing. She was instrumental in helping me pass my DMV test with ease and I believe I will be successful in this job because of all the motivational talks here and there. I would and have recommend Mrs. Lori (160 Driving Academy) to anyone looking to start their CDL journey. Thank you for everything you've done Mrs. Lori for me and the entire class!
