Gentleman and Scholars

I spent 5 weeks of my life with the guys down in Champaign and it was enjoyable. Going into the academy with previous driving experience was tough breaking old habits but the guys in Champaign got me right. Great job to Dan and the guys. Thanks!

160 Driving Academy is Absolutely the BEST

From the first time that my husband and I met with the Branch Manager- Ryan I knew that 160 Driving Academy was for me and my husband and as time went on and I met the other guys like the Field Manager-Terry and the Yard Manager/Instructor-Stan I was amazed at how much they cared about their students. Once I met our other instructors LC, Randy, Tom and Buuba I knew that this would be an experience that we would never forget. Stan, LC, Randy and Tom made it there business to make sure that we knew everything we needed to know about Truck Driving and what we needed to improve on to pass the big test. Bubba took us out on our up downs and taught us to float. We appreciate everything that you guys taught us and all of your help along our journey to a promising career. I love you guys🥰🥳🥳🥳

Best Truck Driving School in Lexington Kentucky

I had a great experience with 160 Driving Academy , I must say it was a journey for me to get away my fear of not being an English speaking individual, I thought I was never gonna make it. However, with the help of the great stuff of this school I'll be able to overturn my fear and keep moving forward. From the office I got Mr. Lou that always encouraged me to keep moving, and the yard I got all these great instructors which whom I had a privileged to work.. first and foremost Ms. Cheryl that took care of all the orientations and one of the knowledgeable individual I ran into , then we got Adrien, Buck, John, Ms. Lesley, David, Mark, Ernie etc.. If it wasn't for these people I wouldn't my CDL today. From the bottom of my heart I love you guys and honestly I'm grateful for everything that you have done. Not forgetting the great people that I have met at 160 omg I'm so happy I went to 160. Hey Everyone 160 is the best truck driving school in town... Let's goooooooo.

5 star

Jeff is the man! He is awesome to work with and he is by far the best yard trainer there! If you get paired up with him, just know your in good hands.

Great Instructors

Upon enrollment at 160 academy I was frustrated with my job and career path. After two weeks of training and actually applying what each of my instructors taught me I started to be and feel more hopeful of my future. Never had a negative moment with any instructor at this facility. Always was encouraged to keep moving forward and apply myself. As a result to this amazing team of instructors, I now have my CDL and I will start my new career this week. Me and my family are very great ful to you all. Lori, Curtis, Andre, Dave, Rich, and both Tim's. I have a lot of love for you all. Thank you and wish y'all the best.

Training

I went to 160 in Shreveport,La and talked to Ms.Leslie and she was wonderful and very helpful.eie is AWSOME

Customer service is top notch

I haven't taken any classes yet but man i don't know where to start. I called up and I gotta say the guy I talked to, Ed, holy crap he's awesome. Give this man a raise hes so nice and so helpful and got me on track where I gotta go and what I gotta do. He was also super relatable and was able to make the experience on the phone so much easier and friendlier. If the instructors are anything like Ed, I'm excited and can't wait

Huntington/Kenova WV yard

Just recently graduated from 160 yesterday! Gotta give a big shout out to the Huntington WV yard instructors! Some of the very best guys you could ask for to teach you how to drive! Roger Edwards and Paul Artist were my two main instructors teaching me everything about driving the truck. Broke everything down from guiding the trailer, pretrip, shifting, and numerous other things that had to do with the truck. Couldn’t have done it without them! Some of the very best guys I’ve ever met in my life. 160 definitely should recognize these guys as they have had pretty sure 11 one and dones now in a row. Great group of guys. Now time to start my journey! — in Huntington, West Virginia.

My Experience

As a student coming from Boston and looking for the best school that could get me my Cdl was very hard.Coming to 160 drive was the best choice I ever made it was very exciting the reason why is because my branch manager Stephanie walk me through everything I needed to know she was very sweet and nice but she is all about Business. Now I don’t even know we’re should I start when it came down to working on the yard. And let me tell you my lead instructor Eddie this man was sent to from heaven this man never gave up on me he always had faith in me even though I didn’t he always said hey look at me remember why you came here you didn’t come here for nothing do this for your son. And Mr. Brian my instructor this man never left my side not one’s we had over ups and down the reason why is because I wanted to give up he told me I believe in you when I first started to work on offset this man kept making me get out the truck and look when you here Brian say’s pull your breaks and come here I was getting mad when he kept doing that until I understand what I was doing and what I was looking at I was getting frustrated every time and I started to realize why he was doing it he said Alex if you want your trailer to go right turn your wheels to the left when it was time for me to do alley dock this man made me cry because I wanted the easy way out and he was not having it he said you better not come this far and now you want to gave up he said I have faith in you I’m giving you all I got you better take it and run with it you just got to trust the process and let the trailer do some work you can’t do all the work for the trailer just trust the process and I did I could truly say if it wasn’t for Eddie and Brian and John and Daniel I don’t know how would I pass the CDL they had nothing but tough love They never gave up on me If I had the chance to refer anyone to this school I would the reason why is because of these guys If I gave every detail about my experience in the school I would have wrote a book I love you guys and now I am a graduate from 160 driving academy if I could do it you could do it to.
