Friendly and very informative instructors
All the instructors are friendly, have a lot of great knowledge, Millions of miles as drivers under their belt. you learn multiple ways of parking big rigs, proper ways to shift, and drive semi trucks. you learn the ins and out of vehicle inspections and ect. Many thanks to Norfolk instructors Steve, John, Jamaal, and Carl. Can't thank Ms. Ashley enough, she is a very nice pretty lady that worked very hard for me getting paper work from company, DMV, and all through. Richmond 160 Mike, Mr. Vernon, Chris, Scott. exceptional group, part of the million Mile group great knowledge friendly folks, will make sure you get the knowledge to get your CDL. Galinda in the office.... wow such a friendly person, very helpful, and a absolutely stunning woman! Thank you all for such great support.
Friendly and Knowledgeable Instructors
From the very start with Galinda in the office, everyone was helpful and knew what they were doing at 160 Driving Academy. Galinda helped me find the right options for me to afford this training. All my instructors were very encouraging and helped me to get my CDL. Denise was very knowledgeable and helped me learn to really drive truck and not just pass the test. She taught me well enough that the Iowa examiner said "She has never had someone drive this well with no previous experience." Thank you 160 Driving Academy!!!!
160 Training
I enjoyed my experience at 160 Driving Academy, although it was stressful learning something new i did not know anything about. I appreciate all the instructors that helped me get through the tough times to get my CDL. They were all very helpful and very patient and I am grateful for them.

I don't even know where to begin!!! 160 Driving Academy is the Bomb.com!!! My Instructors Steve, John, Jamil, and Karl ain't nothing but the truth!! Ashlie is the best 160 administrator hands down!! Supplying our every need along the way!!! They work with you side by side every step of the way. They keep your motivation going as well as keep your in good spirits on and off the yard! Providing awesome job leads for new drivers as well. This was the best class ever! We were/are a family and to me, that's what helped us all succeed! You ALL will be missed!! Shout out to my trucker fam Class of 2020 baby......Sam, Chris, Brendan, Mike, Tae, Mike, Guido, Yosef, Bryan, Tony, and whoever else I forgot. I was the only female on the yard for a minute and My trucker boys/fellas, Ashlie, and INSTRUCTORS took great care of me on the yard. We took care of each other!!! I did my work and I passed all DMV exams on the first try. I asked questions I memorized everything. I practiced and practiced and practiced. By 160 hours I was ready and I passed! Best School in the Area
I had a good experience at 160 Driving Academy and learned a lot from the instructor Jeromy. The manager Jory was also very helpful, and he helped me find employment opportunities after graduation. With the skills I learned, I was able to pass my CDL on a Thursday, apply for employment on Friday, and land a job by Monday. If you study and work hard, it can be done, and the instructors are there for you every step of the way to help ensure your success and safety out on the road.
Great School
The manager Jory is very professional and helps get you set up and going with all the learning materials you’ll need. The instructors, Jeromy and Steve are very experienced and work hard to ensure that each student has the knowledge and skills they need to pass the CDL exam with a big focus on safety first. Every day pre-trip inspection is practiced so that you are well prepared on test day. One thing in particular that I liked about the school was that I learned to drive and was tested in a manual transmission truck, so I have no restrictions on my CDL. Additionally, I was also able to gain some experience driving an automatic on the yard. I recommend 160 Driving Academy to anyone who wants to become a truck driver.
Great school
Mr Jeromy aka knuckles, my Instructor was the best. I went to a company and did there finishing program. 8 weeks with a trainer, then upgraded to my own truck. I impressed the head trainer day of my upgrade with my pretrip. He said was very detailed, I told him it was drilled in us daily in school. Its a very important thing to do daily and post trip. When I started I liked at Jeromy said no way in heck I'm going to remember all that. I did remember it and when I took my cdl test. I had to walk thru in can virtually without doing it verbally. even act like bleeding down breaks and everything to the dot officer. The dot officer said he felt like a ping pong machine. I would remember one thing and ask to go back to it when I missed it first time. This is far from the best school ever and would greatly recommend people going there. second review, first one i didn't finish everything I wanted to say properly. Thanks Jeromy for being such a great instructor. He is the best.
